Wind, Clouds and a Moth

very strong winds this morning, gray sky in the east

a moth (wingspan about 1 1/4") camps on the outside of a west window, waiting out the wind, it seems

me, savoring the mystery of being here
heading into the studio

Clear Skies

full moon in the west before sunrise

sun up from behind the Sheephole Mts in an absolutely clear sky

moon about to disappear as the sunlight warms the western hills

Unknown Journey

UNKNOWN JOURNEY     oil on canvas     54" x 34"

this painting has been hanging in my living space where I can see it all the time since it was finished in mid-January...and now it has been adopted (their choice of word) by a couple from Washington state who spend their winters in Palm Desert (very intelligent)...I will deliver UNKNOWN JOURNEY to them next week...and I will miss it...

this morning I found these quotes from Flo Kennedy, a feminist and activist, in my inbox:

It's interesting to speculate how it developed that in two of the most anti-feminist institutions, the church and the law court, the men are wearing the dresses.

Sweetie, if you're not living on the edge, then you're taking up space.
