Plein Air in the Mojave Preserve

Plein air pieces recently completed in the studio:

This one is from the open area north of the 40 before you get to the caves, painted in the middle of the day:

and this one is looking west to the Providence Mountains at the beginning of Black Canyon, late in the afternoon as the mountains were mostly in shadow and the sea of creosote was lit from the side:
