Summer Desert Garden Flowers

8:30pm...I've just come in from an hour watching the sky darken and the stars starting to appear...and of course the light of our sun reflecting off Venus and our moon...exquisite lights in the liquid summer dusk...

these digital images of flowers in the sunlight caught just a few hours ago seem to come from a different world...

Texas Sage, beloved by the early morning bees

little purple star flowers on feathery stems

Blanket Flowers...part of a drought-tolerant naturalizing mix I brought with me from the Colorado mountains...they just keep blooming and blooming...

Red Oleander

Red Yucca

Bougainvillea, magenta

Bougainvillea, coral
